Fitting a balloon guard to your guttering

Fitting a balloon leaf protector couldn’t be easier and requires next to no plumbing knowledge or skill – and there are no additional fittings needed. In fact, the job should take less than 10 seconds if you’ve got access to the downpipe you’re fitting it to.

The 6 legs at the bottom of the stainless steel guard simply slide into the top of your downpipe. They sit slightly proud of the body of the balloon, so they’re a tight fit – but when they’re in, they grip the inside of the pipe so you can be confident it won’t become dislodged.

Simply push into place – and you’ve got decades of debris free drainage!

Why Galvanised?

The balloon guard is going to be exposed to the elements – so the galvanised construction means they’ll stand up to weather and light with no problems whatsoever. galvanised wire is far superior to plastic or mesh – as the shape allows them to sit slightly inside the downpipe, creating a secure fit.

The slight flexibility of the legs also means that the guard will fit a range of pipes – from 63mm right through to 75mm.
