While some properties simply require straight runs of plastic gutter to channel rainwater off of the roof, others require additional guttering runs to bring the rainwater to the running outlet. If you need to work around corners, you can do so with either 150, 135, 120 or 90 degree gutter bends.
Fitting an angle to a rainwater system
You should carefully measure out your installation before committing to cutting your guttering section to length. There’s little margin for error if you come up short and need to connect into a corner angle. The guttering angles do not fix to the fascia like a union connector would. Instead, they rely on the guttering run to be fixed securely – then snap into place, creating a solid corner. As such, you’ll need to make sure you’ve got brackets fixed within 150mm of the angle to ensure there’s no movement that could cause problems with the connection. When locating the 112mm half round gutter into the angle, make sure not to push it past the indicated expansion joint level.Â
