What is a gutter bracket?

A gutter bracket is the part used to keep the run of guttering that sits under your roof line up. They mount directly into the fascia boards and provide support for the run.

Deep flow brackets are designed to be stronger than their half-round, ogee, or square line alternatives – since they are potentially shouldering more weight.

Fitting a bracket

Fitting plastic gutter brackets is usually one of the first steps in a guttering installation. You should fit your first bracket within 150mm of the end of the gutter run that’s furthest from the running outlet.

These two elements should be installed to allow for 3mm of fall for every meter from the further bracket to the running outlet. You should then install brackets every 1m – or within 100mm-150mm of any bends of angles.

When you’re happy that you’ve got your bracket locations marked up, you can attach the part to the fascia using the pre-drilled holes.
