What is a 90-degree gutter angle for an industrial gutter?

A 90-degree gutter angle is designed to change the direction of your plastic guttering run. In fact, a gutter angle is perfect if you’ve got a roof with two or more faces enabling the gutter to run around the corner of the property.

Fitting an angle to an industrial gutter system

Unlike most other industrial gutter parts (and domestic half round systems), the gutter angle doesn’t require a bracket or support, it literally clips onto the end of the run and allows for another run to be installed at the other end.

As such, it’s important to make sure the end of the run are supported well before they meet the angle. To make sure this is the case, you should install industrial gutter brackets within 150mm of each side of the connection.

Once your gutter is supported, the gutter angle simply clips into place. With a gasket and locating lugs at both ends of the gutter angle, it’s quick and easy to create a tough, watertight seal that’ll support a large amount of weight.

To clip the angle into place, you’ll need to locate the rear-most part of the gutter under the lug at the back. Then, applying pressure to the front of the angle while supporting the gutter run, you can snap the front lug over the gutter, securing the angle completely.

The difference between an internal and an external angle is simply where the fixing points are located. You will need an external angle i most situations, however an internal angle will be required if you are changing direction inbetween two walls rather than on the outside of a wall.

Please note that the 200mm Universal Angle has fixings for internal fitting, but not external. If being used as an external corner, please use a bracket each side of the corner to secure it.
