“Industrial” guttering is a step up from normal domestic half round, cast iron, square line, and ogee guttering systems – and actually offers even more capacity than a deepflow designs. What are industrial guttering brackets?

Industrial brackets are designed to carry the weight of larger gutters and the potentially large amount of water they can hold – although without adding the additional weight that cast iron would bring.

With slightly more robust fixings compared to standard domestic plastic guttering products, they will fix securely and you can walk away from the job knowing that they’ll hold tight even if they’re expected to deal with heavy storms or a build-up of snow.

Since industrial guttering comes in either 160mm, 170mm, or 200mm – so do our brackets. Whichever size you choose, you can be confident that the brackets are manufactured to strict British standards, so they simply will not let you down.

Fitting gutter brackets

Each 4m length of guttering requires 7 fascia brackets as they are to be spaced no more than 600mm apart. The fascia bracket is attached to the fascia board using countersunk screws. The gutter is then clipped into the fascia bracket by gently sliding the back edge of the gutter into the back of the bracket before gently clipping the front of the gutter into the bracket.

As with domestic installations of half round or cast iron products, your brackets are likely to be the second part of the installation – after you’ve fitting your running outlet.

Fit your first bracket between 100mm-150mm from the end of your gutter run furthest from the outlet. Make sure your account for around 3mm of fall across every 1m of gutter length.

When this first bracket is in place, you can tie a right line between your first bracket and your outlet, giving you a guide for further brackets – which will need to be fitted at no more than 600m intervals.
