Please note. Blue MDPE is the only type of MDPE pipework suitable for drinking water. Black MDPE is only suitable for non-drinking water applications and yellow is only suitable for gas.

Our Blue water pipe (MDPE) is WRAS Approved and WRc Tested, meaning it is accepted for potable water supply for human ingestion.

Technical specifications and sizes

63mm MDPE pipe is stress tested and guaranteed to 12 BAR for 63mm variations and around 10 BAR for 90mm and 110mm diameters.

We can provide 63mm MDPE in the following sizes:

• 63mm x 25m (coil)
• 63mm x 50m (coil)
• 63mm x 100m (coil)

Why MDPE?

Medium Density Polyethylene (MDPE) has quickly become the perfect solution for replacing old copper pipes that bring water into homes and properties.

Aside from being easier and more cost effective – blue MDPE is the perfect balance of malleable and tough – so it’s highly resistant to notching when under pressure – yet can be shaped into curves to negotiate obstacles with ease.

As well as being tough enough to carry a water supply safety – blue MDPE water pipe can also be easily repaired. It’s possible to cut a section out quickly if it does become damaged – and replace it using compression fittings.
