The 160mm access pipe is single socketed where as the 110mm access pipe is double socketed.

Fitting

An access socket is easily fitted into a push fit system. Each end of the pipe has a captive ring-seal socket, so you’ll simply need to chamfer the end of the 110mm push fit pipe you’re connecting to – before sliding the socket into place. The access joint is designed with a shoulder that prevents over-insertion of the soil pipes, so you can be certain you won’t inhibit access when it’s required.

If the fit is too tight, a silicone lubricant will help fitting without compromising the watertight joint.

British standards

While our soil system access pipe sockets are manufactured to British standards – there are also building regulations to take into consideration when you’re creating a stack. For domestic buildings across more than 3 storeys, access needs to be available at 3 storey intervals. If you’re fitting a stack in a commercial building, you will need to provide access on each floor.

If ground floor appliances will be connected to the soil pipes, your system should be designed so the access point is higher than the spillover level of the appliances.
