Sometimes referred to in the trade as an ‘elephants foot manifold’ – a soil manifold is designed to make it quick and simple to work within current building regulations.

Building regulations stipulate that you must prevent crossflow from opposing waste inlets – as well as reducing stack induced siphonage across the system. Installing a manifold makes sure this is the case on your project – and helps to prevent both noise and odours from the soil and vent pipe system.

The design of the manifold makes it perfect for fitting in the corner of a room.

The self-cleansing design means the manifold can be fitted without the worry of on-going maintenance.

Fitting

Like other push fit components, the waste manifold is easily fitted into your stack. A ring seal socket a the top accepts the plain end of your 110mm push fit pipe – although it’s better to chamfer and lubricate the pipe for the best fit. Alternatively, a branch will sit on top of the manifold nicely, if you’re bringing two or more flows together.

On the manifold itself, there are 4 inlets – 1 of which is open and a further 3 which come supplied with caps that blank the boss off. These bosses will accept 32mm, 40mm, or 50mm pipes – although you will need to cut the seal to accept a 50mm waste inlet.
