Perforated drainage pipes often need to cover a large area – and if that area’s longer than the pipe you have to hand, then you’re going to need a coupler to make sure you’re doing the best possible job.

Sometimes called land drainage pipe joiners, or pipe sockets – land drainage pipe couplers enable the easy joining of two land underground pipes together. They’re made from PVC or HDPE and are black in colour.

How does a coupler work?

Using a coupler couldn’t be easier – it simply pushes into place at the end of a length of perforated land drain pipe.

Of course, it’s important to make sure your pipe is cut neatly and free from any debris to get the best possible fit – but as long as it is, fitting the connector is a 10 second job.

There’s no need for any o-rings or sealant – although the connection will not be watertight, the nature of the perforated pipes mean that very slight leakage from the join will not compromise the overall effectiveness of the pipe and drainage system.
